- From a local review: "The house might have been full and the audience most receptive, but the members of Aerosmith probably don't think too much of Atlanta hospitality after their Tuesday night at the Omni. I mean, how polite is it to have a bunch of locals come onstage before the headliners and steal the show completely, as Atlanta-based Mother's Finest did to Aerosmith? ... Aerosmith seemed to be coasting on its audience's built-in good will. That audience, composed of numerous drunk and drugged teen-agers, responded loudly but almost mechanically to the same old heavy-metal riffs and lead singer Steven Tyler's well-worn (and second rate) imitation of Mick Jagger. The band played a cross section of its songs, with heavy emphasis on its new LP, 'Night in the Ruts.' If you like Aerosmith, you would have liked the show. Considering Aerosmith's past drawing power, it may be a sign of slippage on the group's part that promoters felt they had to add two other bands" (Atlanta Constitution, 12/19/79).
