Notes:

- From a local review: "Direct, loud and obnoxious. Those are adjectives with that musical form we so lovingly call rock 'n' roll. They also are adjectives synonymous with the members of Aerosmith, the bad boys of the Boston rock scene. A decade after rising to the national limelight, the sextet proved its durability in a Freedom Hall concert last night. While J. Geils may be the shirt-sleeved Carl Yastrzemski, the group Boston the technocratic MIT grad, and the Cars the aristocratic Kennedy family, Aerosmith is the true power-broker — the Tip O'Neill, if you prefer — of that city's musical heritage. From the opening salvos of 'Back in the Saddle' through such anthems as 'Walk This Way,' 'Sweet Emotion' and 'Dream On,' singer Steven Tyler strutted his way into the hearts, if not other organs, of the appreciative, but-not-quite-capacity audience. Interspersing newer, more-drawn-out compositions with the band's scorecard of past successes, Aerosmith showed it can be: Direct, as in such lyrics as 'I'm in heat, I'm in love, but I just couldn't tell her so.' loud, as in the five-minute solo the main set and in the feedback-laden guitar displays. Obnoxious, as in the Mick Jagger-esque poses Tyler strikes and the Keith Richards-ian stances the guitarists assume. Despite such factors — or perhaps because of them — Aerosmith puts on a thoroughly enjoyable show, more energetic than one would expect from a group after 10 years near the top" (Kingsport Times News, 2/20/83).
